The Bihar Public Service Commission conducted the Preliminary Competitive Examination on 28 April 2023 at the various exam centres for the recruitment of 42 vacant seats for the post of BPSC Assistant. This recruitment advertisement regarding the Assistant posts was published on the official site in 2022.
The Online application for the same started on 7 September 2022 and was accepted by the commission till 30 September 2022. And the re-application process for the same posts was started on 14 November 2022 to 21 December 2022. The participating candidate has to go through two exams i.e. prelims exam and the Main exam.

The Premils Exam was conducted and the shortlisted Candidate will have to appear for the Main Exam. Now the Commission will release the BPSC Prelims Exam Answer Key 2023 within 7 days after the commencement of the exam which will determine the future of the candidate.
The Exam for the BPSC Assistant was held in the paper pattern given below:
- All the questions were in Multiple Choice Question format each with a different alternative.
- Participants were given 2 hours and 15 minutes to solve the exam.
- The questions were in both languages i.e. in Hindi and English.
- Questions were from 4 topics- General Science, Mental Ability General Studies and Mathematics.
- The paper carried a total of 150 questions from the topic given above and each correct answer will be given 1 Mark.
- There was also a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

BPSC Answer Key and Objection Submission
The BPSC will issue the provisional answer key before the final. The Provisional Answer key may or may not have any incorrect answers in it. Candidates need to download the answer key from the official page i.e. bpsc.bih.nic.in or can download the same using the link provided below then have to check all the answers carefully.
If a candidate has any doubt or is clear the answer has to be different can complain by raising a grievance on the official page. For raising grievances candidates need to fill out the objection form along with the prescribed fee for the same within the specified time along with a solid written proof of such incorrect answer.
Thereafter the commission will gather all the complaints filled within the given time and will rectify all those incorrect answers and will soon release the Final BPSC Assistant Answer Key. And if the objection is found correct the fee for filing such a complaint will be refunded.
