Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) issued a notification to recruit candidates for 424 Non‐Executive posts. This recruitment is done on direct recruitment basis for a period of five years, initially on a contractual basis.
The GMRC started inviting candidates to register online for these posts on 10 May 2023 and will accept all online applications till 09 June 2023. After this process ends, scrutiny of applications will be done and then the eligible candidates will be called for the test. This test is expected to be conducted in July 2023.

GMRC Selection Procedure
The selection process includes:
- Written Test of 100 marks
- Gujarati Language Test of 20 marks
General category candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks and for the reservation category (SC/ST / OBC/EWS) candidates have to score a minimum of 50% marks to get selected for this recruitment drive.

The age limit for the post of Station Controller/ Train Operator (SC/TO), Customer Relations Assistant (CRA), and Junior Engineer are 18 to 28 years, whereas for the post of Maintainer is 18 to 25 years as of 10 May 2023.
