The state examination board of Gujarat has announced that they will be conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET-1 & 2) soon. This is a piece of great news for those who are interested in the field of teaching and are currently seeking jobs. A notification regarding this is posted on the website sebexam.org.
The registration will commence on 23 February 2023 and will be concluded on 9 March 2023. The last date for payment of the examination is 13 March 2023.
The exam is said to be conducted either in the month of April or May of 2023 but both of them are tentative for now.

Gujarat TET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Sp TET 1 – For std. 1 to 5 Special teacher (For the specially-abled category of CP, H.I./S.I., M.D, SLD, I.D/M.R., T.B/ L.V, ASD )
- The applicant has passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from the secondary and higher secondary board of Education.
- The applicant has D.Ed. in special education and possesses a valid RCI CRR number.
- D.EL.Ed with a recognized qualification from RCI approved institution.
Sp TET 2 – For std 6 to 8 Special Teacher (For specially-abled category of CP, H.L/S.I., M.D, SLD, I.D/M.R., T.B/ L.V )
- The applicant has a Bachelor’s degree from either a central or a state-recognized institute of India or any other recognized institute.
- B.Ed in special education from Rci approved institute
- B.Ed with a recognized qualification(diploma)
AGE LIMIT
The minimum age required to give TET 1&2 is 18 years though there is no maximum age issued in the notification.
Application Fee
The candidates applying for the Gujarat TET Must pay the application decided by the board.
- For GEN/OBC/EWS – ₹ 350/-
- For SC/ST/SEBC/PH – ₹250/-
