Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education issued a notification for conducting the HP Teacher Eligibility Test for various teacher posts like TGT in Arts/ Medical/ Non-Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu. The candidates will be eligible for Teaching Jobs after qualifying for this exam.
The State Education Board will start accepting online registration on 09 May 2023 and accept all online applications till 28 May 2023. Candidates are allowed to submit the application form with the late fee of ₹300/- from 29 May to 31 May 2023. Thereafter no application will be accepted. The correction window will open for the candidates to alter any change in their application form on 01-03 June 2023.

The educational qualification of the teacher depends on the job role/subject wise.
- For Arts Teacher- B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) or Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/4 years B.A.Ed. or B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.)
- For Non-Medical Teacher- B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) or Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/4 years B.Sc.(NM)Ed or B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.)
- For Medical Teacher- B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) or Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/4 years B.Sc.(Medical)Ed.

- For Punjabi Teachers- B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education or M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
- For Urdu Teacher- B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education or M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
The prescribed fee for General and subcategories is ₹800/- and for the candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC/PWD is ₹500/-. The fee can be paid online only.
There is no upper age limit set to register for the HP TET. The age criteria will be considered at the time of appointment, and the authority will decide as per their rules.

- From the top right corner of the page click on “CET/Vacancies” and then select “TET June”.
- Now read all the instructions and select the role(subject teacher) from the given list and click on it.
- Enter the details asked and upload all the required documents.
- Pay the online application fee.
- Click on Submit Application.
- Thus registration completes, print the same for further assistance.
