Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) conducted an online computer-based written exam for the posts of Junior Intelligence Officers (JIO), Grade-II (Technical) i.e. JIO-II/Tech in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) under General Central Service, Group-‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) posts on 22 July 2023.
Through this recruitment drive the department will recruit candidates for 797 Junior Intelligence Officer Posts in IB Department. A large number of candidates appeared for the exam on the scheduled date. The IB JIO Recruitment Notification was released at the end of May 2023 by the Ministry of Home Affairs on its official web portal. The IB JIO Online registration process started on 03 June 2023. Both male and female candidates applied online for this post. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to register online for these posts till 23 June 2023.
The exam was conducted well on 22 July. Now the Department officials are going to declare the results soon. It is expected that the results will be released at the end of August 2023. The Department has also issued the IB JIO Answer Key on its webpage. Until then have a look at it and calculate the marks you will score in the exam.
MHA IB JIO Cut-Off Marks
The MHA Officials will release the Cut-Off Scores list on its official webpage once they declare the JIO Results. These cut-off scores are the minimum passing marks required to be scored to qualify for the exam. Candidates who score more than these marks or equal to them will be shortlisted for the further selection test.
No notification has been released yet regarding the exam results date. This cut-off score list will be issued only after the result. Candidates have to wait a while to know the minimum passing marks. Until then candidates are advised to check the expected cut-off marks list added below. The marks in the list below are based on the previous year’s cut-off trends.

How to check the IB JIO Result for the Online Exam?
Aspirants who want to check their exam scores but are unaware of how to check them, need to go through the following steps to check the results:
- Visit the official web portal mha.gov.in
- Scroll down to the What’s New Section.
- Look for the Advertisement and click on it.
- Click on check results.
- Then fill in the required detail asked.
- Click on the Login tab.
- Thus, your scorecard will appear.
- Take a print of it and save it for further assistance.
