The commission released recruitment for backlog and regular vacancies i.e 265 & 2855 posts respectively.

The JSSC decided on a similar pay scale for PGT backlog & regular posts. Eligible Candidates have better opportunities for joining teaching posts within the Jharkhand state.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed a B.ed Degree or its equivalent qualification from any recognized institute with a minimum of 50% marks. In the minimum marks, 5% relaxation will be provided for the reserved categories. Furthermore, candidates must have 3 years of teaching experience in the school or college.
The minimum age which is required for this recruitment is 21 years as on 01 January 2023 for all categories. The maximum age required is as follows:
- For General, EWS: 40 years.
- For backward classes: 42 years.
- For SC/ST & Ex-Serviceman: 45 years.
- All categories of Women candidates: 43 years.
The application fee is ₹100 for candidates who belong to all categories and for the reserved categories, the examination fee is ₹50 only. The application fee can be submitted through an online payment mode.
JSSC PGT Selection Process
The selection process is based on the written examination. A computer Based Test will be conducted by the selection board. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written test. The two papers will be conducted by JSSC i.e Paper 1 for 100 marks and Paper 2 for 300 marks. There will be no negative marking in the written exam. In paper 1, each question will carry 1 mark and 2 marks will be given for each question in paper 2.

Online Registration Steps for JSSC PGT Recruitment
Candidates who wish to apply for a teaching post must read the official notification in detail to avoid any mistakes during filling out the registration form. Applicants follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the application form easily:
- Go to the official website jssc.nic.in
- Click on the online application for PGTTCE-2023. Then candidates need to register themselves with email id and mobile number and an OTP will be sent for verification. Write down the Login and password for future use.
- Then log in with your User id and fill in the application form and upload documents.
- Then click on “submit to proceed payment”.
- A new page opens in front of you. Select the payment category such as payment can be debit card/credit card or Net-banking system.
- Take a printout of this application form for further reference.
