School Education Department, Karnataka issued a public notice inviting candidates for the Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET 2023). Interested Candidates are invited to apply online for this test from 14 July 2023. The last date to register online for this Karnataka TET is 5 August 2023.
This year the SED is going to conduct the 2 Papers. Those Candidates who are willing to register online for the post of teacher for classes 1st-5th will need to file for Paper 1, while candidates who are interested in applying for the post of teacher for classes 6th-8th will take Paper 2.

KARTET Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants interested to apply online for the Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test need to check the eligibility details given below:
Candidates have to check the education qualification details shared below. Those candidates who are Applying for the teacher for classes 1st-5th Class have to check the Paper-1 details and those who are applying for the teacher for classes 6th-8th will need to check the Paper-2 details.
- For Paper I: Aspirants must have passed PUC / Class 12th with at least 50% marks or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing in the final year of 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- For Paper II: Graduation with at least 50% marks and the candidate must have passed or should be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
The age of applicants must be above 18 years to 40 years. Age Relaxation in the upper age limit will also be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Candidates willing to register online need to pay the fee given below and it can be paid through online payment method only.

How to register online for the KARKET Application Form?
Candidates going to register online for the Karnataka TET will have to go through the following steps to register online:
- Go to the official web portal schooleducation.kar.nic.in
- Look for the KARTET Notification and click on it.
- Then click on the Apply tab.
- You will be now directed to a new page.
- Click on the New Register tab and enter the details asked.
- Upload the necessary documents, which must be readable.
- At last click on the Submit tab and file the application form.
- Thus, online registration completes.
- Take a print of it and save it for further assistance.
