Maharashtra Forest Department released a public notice on 09 June 2023 to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Stenographer (Higher Grade), Stenographer (Lower Grade), Junior Engineer (Civil), Senior Statistics Assistant, Junior Statistics Assistant, Surveyor, Accountant, and Forest Guard. Under this recruitment drive the department will fill a total of 2417 vacant posts.
The Department will start inviting eligible candidates to come and apply online for Maharashtra Forest Guard Recruitment from 10 June and this registration process will continue till 30 June 2023. All the applications received within this period of time will be considered. Applications filed after this given time will not be entertained.

Forest Guard Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Must ensure that you pass the eligibility standards given below:
For Stenographer (Higher Grade):
- Applicant must have passed Matrix from the recognized board
- Have a Shorthand speed of at least 120 words per minute
- English typing speed of a minimum of 40 words per minute or Marathi typing speed of a minimum of 30 words per minute and must have a certificate issued by the government.
- Required Knowledge of the Marathi language
For Stenographer (Lower Grade):
- Applicant must have passed Matrix from the recognized board
- Shorthand speed of at least 100 words per minute
- English typing speed of a minimum of 40 words per minute or Marathi typing speed of a minimum of 30 words per minute
- Required Knowledge of the Marathi language
For Junior Engineer (Civil):
- Applicant must possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering from any university/institution recognized by the Indian Education Department
For Senior Statistics Assistant:
- Applicant must possess a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Agriculture, or Statistics from a recognized University or its equivalent
For Junior Statistics Assistant:
- Applicant must possess a Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Agriculture, or Statistics from a recognized University or its equivalent
For Surveyor:
- Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12th).
- Should hold a surveyor training course certificate from a recognized institution
For Forest Guard:
- 12th pass with at least one subject either from Science, Mathematics, Geography or Economics.
- Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category or ex-servicemen are eligible to apply if they have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination (10th).
For Accountant:
- Applicant must have a degree from any recognized university/institution
- Minimum Age Limit for Accountants – 21 Years
- Minimum Age Limit for all other Posts – 18 Years
- Maximum Age Limit for Accountants – 40 Years
- Maximum Age Limit for Surveyor – 40 Years
- Maximum Age Limit for Forest Guard – 27 Years
- Maximum Age Limit for Other Posts – 40 Years
