NISER NEST 2023 Admit Card for National Entrance Screening Test. Check the Release Date and Exam Schedule @nestexam.in
The National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) issued a notification earlier for Conducting National Entrance Screening Test (NEST 2023). It is a compulsory online/computer-based test for admission in the Integrated M.Sc program at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar, and the Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) Mumbai.
The online application process started on 27 Feb 2023 and the last date for filling out the application form was 17 May 2023. No corrections were allowed once filled. The institute will conduct the exams in the month of June and the NEST Admit Card for the exam will be issued 10 days prior to the examination.

Instruction needs to be followed for NEST Exam 2023
Here are some of the instructions given below:
- Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Candidates must reach the test venue at least 90 minutes before the examination starts.
- The exam will start at 9:00 AM for the first session and 2:30 PM for the second session.
- Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM for the respective sessions.
- Candidates must bring their NEST Admit Card, school photo Identity Card, or any other photo ID issued by Government agencies to the examination hall for verification purposes.
- Candidates need to bring their own pens exchanging or sharing these items with other candidates is strictly prohibited.
NEST 2023 Exam Pattern
The NISER NEST Exam Pattern will be in the following manner:
- 2.5 marks will be given for each correct answer.
- There is a negative marking on -1 for each wrong answer.
- Negative marks will not be deducted for unattempted questions.
- The question paper will consist of 4 (four) sections of objective (MCQ) type questions. Each section is of 50 marks and will contain subject-specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Each subject section contains 17 questions, out of which 12 questions are of single correct answer MCQs, and the remaining 5 questions are of multiple correct answer MCQs.
The merit list of NEST 2023 is prepared using the best three qualifying scores out of four sections, and the section with the worst score is omitted. Thus attempting all sections will increase their chances of a better total score.
