Admission Procedure for Polytechnic Colleges in Odisha
The students will be selected based on their rank obtained in the entrance examination. The seat will be allotted according to the merit list. A counselling session is also conducted. Marks are divided according to different courses.

The student minimum age required for Diploma in Engineering/ Technology Course and Lateral Entry Engineering and Technology is 14 Years as of 1 July 2023.
For semester one and for 3rd semester both have different educational qualifications mentioned below.
Diploma in Engineering/ Technology Courses – Candidate must be 10th pass from a recognised board and must have a certificate of the concerned discipline.
Lateral Entry Engineering and Technology – Senior Secondary Education is mandatory with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for this diploma. Two years vocational diploma is required in any stream. Two years ITI in engineering trade pas with an HSC examination. C 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
