The department will soon conduct the exam for constables to fulfil the vacant posts. We have discussed the selection procedure and exam pattern in this article. Candidates who applied for this vacancy should prepare for the written test.

Punjab Police Constable Selection Process

The selection process will be divided into three different stages by the Selection Board of Punjab police.

Stage 1
  • Two Computer Based Test will be conducted i.e Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers will contain multiple-choice questions. Paper 2 will be qualifying in nature.
Stage 2 
  • Physical Measurement Test
  • Physical Screening Test
  • Both tests (PST & PMT) will be qualifying in nature.

The physical Screening Test will contain the following events:

  • 1600 Meters Race to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds (only one chance).
  •  Long Jump 3.80 Meters (3 chances).
  • High Jump 1.10 Meters (3 chances).

  • 1400 Meters Walk and Run to be completed in 12 minutes. (Only one chance).
  • 10 Full Squats within 3 minutes. (Only one
    chance)
Female Candidates
(Including Ex-Servicemen of age not
more than 35 years)
  • 800 Meters Race to be completed in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. (only one chance)
  • Long Jump 3.00 Meters. (3 chances)
  • High Jump 0.95 Meters. (3 chances)
Female Candidates
(Ex-Servicemen of age more than 35
years)
  • 800 meters run to be completed in 06 minutes (only one chance).
Stage 3

Document Verification: After completion of the above two stages, candidates need to submit their original documents for verification. The list of documents that will carry along with on the day of verification has been mentioned below;

  • Matriculation Certificate.
  • 12th/ its equivalent Certificate.
  • Proof of having passed Punjabi at the matric level.
  • Reserved Category Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
  • No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Department, in case of candidates, who are serving government employees.
  • In the case of Ex-serviceman supporting documents will be required.

Punjab Police Constable Exam Pattern

  • Two written exams will conduct by the Board.
  • Paper 1 will contain 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • Paper 2 will contain 50 questions for 50 marks (Only Qualifying in nature).
  • There will be no negative marking in both exam.
