Punjab Police Department conducted the online computer-based exam to recruit candidates for the Sub Inspector Post. The PPD conducted this exam to fill 288 vacancies. This recruitment exam was conducted from 20 to 31 July 2023 at various examination centres across the state of Punjab.

The Punjab Police Sub Inspector recruitment notification was released at the end of January 2023. The online application process started on 07 February 2023. Both interested male and female candidates applied online till 28 February 2023.
Soon the department is going to release the answer key and after this, the results will be announced. Shortlisted candidates will be further called for the physical test. It is expected that the department will release this answer key in this month.
The exam was conducted online as CBT based exam. There were a total of 100 MCQs in the exam. Each question was of a 04 mark. There was a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Candidates were given a total of 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the exam. The paper was divided into 3 sections i.e. General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Skills, Punjabi Language.
Punjab Police Sub Inspector Objection and Submission
Firstly, the department officials will release the Provisional Answer Key. Candidates who appeared for the exam need to download this and have to check each answer carefully. In case any applicant found there is any wrong answer in this solution key and they can justify their argument.
Then these candidates can file the objection form on the webpage of the Punjab Police Department. Candidates need to pay some prescribed fee for each objection raised. This fee paid will be refunded if your objection made is found suitable.
After this online submission process ends, the officials will release the Final SI Answer Key and on the basis of this key marks will be allotted. With the help of this candidates can also calculate the expected marks that they will score in the exam.
