The Reserve Bank of India released a recruitment notification on 13 September 2023 for the position of Assistant, announcing 450 vacant positions. As per the notification, the RBI invites online applications from eligible candidates to fill these vacancies.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who wish to apply online must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.
- Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates belonging to the Ex-servicemen category should either a Graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
Applicants must have attained a minimum age of 20 years and must not exceed the age of 28 years as of 01 September 2023. Age relaxation will be granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with the department’s regulations and policies.
To apply online candidates need to deposit the registration fee given below:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹450/- + 18% GST
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹50/- + 18% GST
- RBI Staff: Nil.
The RBI will hire the eligible candidates in accordance with the marks scored by them in the selection phases outlined below:
- Preliminary Test
- Main Exam
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
