SSC CHSL Previous Year Question Paper PDF with Answers

Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL). This test is conducted every year by the SSC to recruit eligible candidates for the various clerical posts for the central government departments. Through this recruitment drive the commission will fill approx. 1600 vacancies. These vacancies are of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’.

Staff Selection Commission just completed the online registration process and now they will conduct the CHSL Tier I Exam. As per the reports the Tier I test might be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission in August 2023. The Commission will select the Eligible Candidates on the basis of written exams and typing tests.

SSC CHSL Previous Year question Paper

For conducting the e CHSL Exam the Commission invited online application forms from the eligible candidates. The process was started on 09 May 2023. The last date to submit online applications was 08 June 2023. Now the commission will soon conduct the exam. The exam date is not declared yet, and when the officials release any notification regarding this we will update this page. Stay connected with us.

Exam Pattern

The test is divided into 2 tiers i.e.

  • Tier-1
  • Tier-2

Exam Pattern for Tier-1

  • There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam.
  • Each question will be of 1 mark.
  • All the questions will be Objective Type questions.
  • No negative marking in this test.
  • A total of 60 minutes will be given to solve the exam.

Exam Pattern for Tier-2

  • This test will be conducted in 2 sessions.
  • There will be a total of 135 questions.
  • Each question will be of 3 marks.
  • 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • All the questions will be Objective Type questions.
  • Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
  • Errors in the Skill Test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.

English Language: Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting misspelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One-word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice.

General Intelligence: Semantic Analogy, Symbolic Operations, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/ NumberClassification, Drawing inferences, Figural Classification.

Quantitative Aptitude: Decimal and Fractions, Relationships between numbers, Percentages, Ratios and Proportions, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Algebra, Geometry, and Use of Tables and Graphs.

General Awareness: History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy and Scientific Research.
