The MCA Exam was conducted in shift 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the Exam for MBA was conducted in shift 2 from 2:30 to 4:30 PM on the same day. As per reports, 39,000 students appeared in the TANCET exam. The exam was held at 40 examination centres in 15 cities of Tamil Nadu state.

The exam cut-off mainly depends on the appeared applicants in written test, and the exam level if the exam is easier then the TANCET cut-off marks may go higher and if the level of the exam is moderate to difficult then the cut-off marks may be lower and the number of seats available in the university for a specific course.
