The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission published a recruitment notification for Assistant Jailor posts on the official portal. A total number of 59 vacancies will be filled by the commission. Now the commission will conduct a written test soon for these posts.

Selection process for Assistant Jailor

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the written exam and physical test performance. After the written test, selected candidates will be eligible for the further process which is the physical test. The last round is document verification where the commission will verify your certificates & documents for accuracy.

Assistant Jailor Exam Pattern

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will conduct this exam in online/offline mode.

  • The question paper will be based on MCQ patterns.
  • The time will be divided according to parts on part 1 candidate will get 3 hours to solve this exam.
  • In part 2 candidate will also have 3 hours to complete the exam.
  • The exam carries a total of 600 Marks.
  • The exam is conducted in both language English and Tamil.
  • Each question carries one mark.

TNPSC Admit Card is compulsory for all applicants. The authority will not send the same by post. It contains the exam venue, date and time, and roll number etc.

Allowed to be taken in the exam hall:

  • A coloured copy of your call letter.
  • A Government ID such as an Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID etc.
  • Passport-size photos.
  • Face mask and hand sanitiser.

Things you can’t carry in the exam:

  • Any electronic device.
  • Any kind of paper or notes.
  • Food items are not allowed.
