Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has successfully organized the Upper PCS Preliminary test for the post of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer (BDO), and other Group A posts. It is basically a Provincial Civil Service Examination (Upper PCS) conducted by the UPPSC.

The UPPSC had issued a notification for 173 vacancies in different departments of the Uttar Pradesh state. The submission of application forms for the same started on 3 March 2023 and the last date for registration was 6 April 2023. A large number of applicants applied for these vacancies so they have a chance to get a job in the Provincial Civil Service Department.
