UPSC Admit Card 2023 for CSE Prelims Exam, IAS Selection Process @upsc.gov.in

UPSC Civil Service Examination Admit Card 2023 Check the UPSC CSE Prelims Hall Ticket @upsc.gov.in: The Union Public Service Commission has decided to conduct the Civil Service Examination on 28 May 2023. The UPSC Prelims Exam Admit Card will release soon on the official website of the commission.

The examination letter will be uploaded for selected candidates and those who successfully submitted their applications and paid the application fee accordingly. Candidates can download the e-admission ticket from 16 April 2023 on the official portal upsconline.nic.in.

The CSE Prelims will be conducted for the various Group A position in various departments of the Government. A direct link to download the UPSC IAS Admit Card has mentioned at the end of this article.

The CSE prelims exam will be conducted in various states or districts across the country for which the paper scheme has been defined below:

UPSC CSE Exam Pattern

Prelims Exam Pattern
  • The UPSC will conduct two exams i.e Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam.
  • The prelims exam will consist of two papers on the same day and both papers will contain Multiple choice questions.
  • Paper 1 will carry 100 questions for 200 marks i.e 2 marks will be awarded for each correct question and paper 2 will carry 80 questions.
  • For each paper, time will be given 2 hours.
  • Paper 2 will qualify in nature and the minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33% by the higher authority.
  • There will be negative marking for the wrong answers and 0.33 marks will be deducted.

UPSC CSE Selection Process

The UPSC CSE selection procedure included three phases:

  • Preliminary Exam.
  • Mains Exam.
  • Interview.

The preliminary exam is meant to serve as a screening test only. Those candidates will qualify for the Prelims exam will only take part in the mains examination and the prelims exam marks will not be counted for determining their final merit list. The candidates who will appear in the mains examination will be about twelve to thirteen times the total number of vacancies to be filled through this Examination.

Candidates who cleared both exam stages will call for the interview/personality test and which will carry 275 marks with no minimum qualifying marks. The interview is the final stage of the selection process. After this stage, the final list will be declared by the commission.

How to download the UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2023?

The UPSC Exam Call Letter 2023 will consist of details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, candidate’s photograph, Registration number, Date of birth, Exam date and time, examination venue and other important instructions etc. Candidates download the UPSC admit card by following the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Firstly go to the official website which is www.upsc.gov.in
  2. On the homepage, on the right side of the page click on the admit card tab.
  3. Then click on the link for the CSE Prelims E-admit card.
  4. A new page will be open in front of you.
  5. Then a “Click Here” link should be clicked to Download e-Admit Card.
  6. Read the important exam instructions, scroll to the bottom and press “Yes”.
  7. Now, you can select the method i.e by entering the registration number or by entering the roll number.
  8. Enter the registration ID or Roll Number along with the date of birth and random image code shown there. Click the “submit” button.
  9. Your UPSC CSE Prelims Hall Ticket should be live on your display screen. Print it out and bring to the exam hall on your big day.
