UPSC CAPF AC Admit Card 2023 Assistant Commandant Exam Date

Union Public Service Commission is going to organise a written examination for Assistant Commandant posts in the Central Armed Police Forces. The UPSC CAPF AC exam will be held on 06 August 2023.

The commission will select 322 eligible candidates after the selection process. Under this, the vacant seats are to be filled in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

UPSC CAPF AC Exam Pattern

UPSC Exam Pattern for Assistant Commandant has been set by the authority. The written examination contains 2 Papers. Both have different exam patterns mentioned below.

Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence 

  • Paper one will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.
  • The paper will be available in both language English and Hindi.
  • The time duration is 02 hours.
  • This examination will carry 250 marks and the multiple-choice question is given in this paper.
  • The exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.33 mark.

Paper 2: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension

Paper 2 will be divided into 2 parts and it will carry 200 marks. Paper II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Part A – In part (A) essay writing will carry 80 marks and the topics mentioned for this exam are modern Indian history, especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.

Part B – In part (B) Comprehension, précis writing, and other communications/language skills will contain 120 marks. The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counterarguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.
