As there is a need to ensure the qualification of the candidates aspiring to be teachers of primary and elementary school students, Education Boards conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test to mark the eligibility of the candidates. In the same scenario, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) announced the eligibility test for Teachers in the primary school.
The examination took place in various centres throughout the state. The date of the examination was 11th December 2022. This year about 6.5 Lakhs candidates have given the examination.
The candidates are awaiting the release of WB TET results. The examining authority will release the result on the official website and it can be checked by the candidates by entering the required login credentials.

The examining authorities have released the answer key for the test which is preliminary in nature. The candidates are allowed to raise their objections if the answers are wrong in their opinion. The objections raised by the candidates will be considered by the examining authority which leads to the preparation of the final key. The final answer key will be the basis of the result of the test. The participation of the candidates is secured by this practice.
The result of the WB TET exam will be evaluated based on the Final Answer Key.
WB Primary TET Cut-Off Marks
The cut-off marks for each category of the candidates will depend on various factors such as the number of candidates who participated in the exam, maximum marks scored, etc. The authority has released a category-wise cut-off for the test which is as follows:
- General – 60%
- SC/ST/OBC/PH – 55%
- SC/ST/OBC/PH (Other States) – 58%
