The Public Service Commission, West Bengal will hold the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) etc. Examination, 2023 for the recruitment to the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) and certain other services and posts. The eligible candidate should be verified through their performance in various phases of the selection process.
The examination consists of two parts – (1) a Written Examination and (2) a Personality Test. Written Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ Type) and (ii) Main Examination (Both Objective MCQ Type and Conventional Type). A number of candidates are to be selected based on the results.
For each phase of the selection process, WBPSC will release Hall Tickets to the eligible candidates. The download link will be activated at least two weeks before the examination date. Candidates can download the WBPSC WBCS Admit Card by using the User ID and Date of birth in the relevant link.

A large number of candidates applied for the various Civil Services posts in the stipulated time. The applicants who submitted the application form within the stipulated time and the application forms are found valid will be eligible for the first round of the examination. The schedule for this examination will be released on the official portal accordingly.
WBPSC Civil Service Exam – Selection Process
The selection process for West Bengal Civil Services Exam will comprise various phases. The candidates who qualified in the first stage will be called for the next successive stage i.e. The Preliminary Examination will allow admission to the Main Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Main Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test. The phases of the WBPSC WBCS Exam and other posts are as follows:

West Bengal WBCS Examination Centres
The Preliminary Examination will be held at various centres in Kolkata and certain other districts in West Bengal tentatively in June 2023 or thereabout. Only Scheduled Tribe candidates of Darjeeling district and other candidates of the three hill sub-divisions, namely Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at the DARJEELING centre. Similarly, all candidates from the Kalimpong district will be allowed to appear at the KALIMPONG centre.
The Main Examination will be held in Kolkata later in the same year. The Personality Test will be held after that in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.

WBPSC WBCS Admit Card Details – Download Links
The exam admit cards will be released online only. After downloading, candidates must check that the details printed on the WBPSC Civil Services Admit Card are correct. There will be the candidate’s name, photograph, category, exam name, exam centre name, Exam date and timings etc. In addition, on the admit card the exam instructions will be mentioned. If there is an error in the personal details, contact the exam authority for necessary rectification.
At the exam centre, candidates are required to produce a photo ID proof along with the WBPSC WBCS Admit Card print. Candidates without a valid document will not be allowed to enter the examination centre. A valid photo ID proof may be Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Driving License, Bank Passbook with an attested photo etc.
